What does it mean?

There is no Sanskrit derivation for this style of yoga.

Who founded it?

There is no clear founder of this style.

How did it evolve?

The evolution of yoga for kids has grown with the popularisation of yoga in the West, as well as the desire for a needs based approach to personalised yoga.

What is a class like?

A yoga class for kids can be varied as it is up to the age of the children and their specific needs. For example a class for 4 year olds will be very different from a class for 13 year olds. Classes in general however, are usually creative, interactive and fun. A focus on mindfulness is becoming increasingly popular due to the benefits that it has been shown to have in the classroom.
