Who founded it?
Power Living was founded by Duncan Peak in 2004.
How did it evolve?
“Power Living was founded in 2004 by Duncan Peak, in Neutral Bay, Sydney. The studio was the first of its kind, solely teaching Vinyasa yoga – a style developed from its Hatha Vinyasa roots. Neutral Bay quickly became one of the busiest studios in Australia and alongside it grew an inspiring community that continues to flourish today. In 2006, long-time friend of Duncan’s and devoted yoga practitioner Keenan Crisp joined the team.”
What is a class like?
Several styles of yoga are taught including vinyasa in a heated or non-heated room, and yin yoga. Heated classes are held in rooms heated to 32 degrees and are intense vinyasa classes, whilst non-heated classes retain the dynamic nature of the style. Yin yoga is a meditative style aiming to activate the energetic system and facial tissue with deep holds in poses to allow this to occur.
